The way a couple elects to fashion tables at their reception is a great way to put a personal stamp on the day. A simple swap of white linens and stark chairs can transform a space creating a less-is-more feel.

Select fabrics that incorporate a bold design, fun texture or saturated color and couple them with acrylic chairs, ottoman-style seating or a dressed up Chivari. Paired with conversation-friendly arrangements and lighting, the atmosphere will exude panache.

For a more intimate setting choose low, sprawling centerpieces at round and square tables of four or six; for a grandeur affair use long, banquet-style tables with tall arrangements perched on candelabras.

A great tabletop is all in the details. Add place cards reflective of a hobby or interest and incorporate favors that compliment the decor. Utilize different color glassware appropriate for various celebratory cocktails and change up the plates with different shapes and patterns.
